THE MC CHALLENGE

Thank you for visiting the Better You Challenge on BrianDawkins.com.  My goal with the Better You Challenge is to increase as many lives as possible physically, spiritually, and mentally. 

Commit yourself to the monthly day challenge and you will see results.  It’s simple to follow:

This challenge is a deeper one.  The main goal is get you to begin to check and be mindful of your thinking process, your problem solving & how you are responding to things. 

THINK ABOUT YOUR THINKING!

Is what you’re faced with a 911 emergency?  If not, don’t respond back like it is.

Metacognition is "cognition about cognition", "thinking about thinking", "knowing about knowing", becoming "aware of one's awareness" and higher-order thinking skills.

Be aware when a situation arises and how you respond. If you don’t respond the right way the first time, choose to go back and respond differently the second time.  

Remember our Power of the Pause Challenge?  That will help you here in this instance. When you pause for a few seconds before you speak by taking a deep breath, think about how you’re going to respond. 

And lastly, I want to leave you with this.  Think about how you actually created your thought process.  Does your thought process come from your surroundings as a child?  Do you yell because your parents yelled?  Think about the source of your responses. Then decide if they are worth changing. To process that will lead you down a positive path going forward
